Vivienne van Eijkelenborg, CEO of Difrax b.v., told Karin Mentink and Jacqueline Jonker of the Romanian Child Aid Foundation that her social conscience concerning the position of children in the Eastern bloc, in particular, had prompted her to decide to sponsor the Romanian Child Aid Foundation through her company. Thanks partly to the sponsor money, a family children’s home can be built in Sovata in Romania – a family children’s home in which 16 Romanian orphans ‘with no prospects at all’ can grow up in a family situation with the help of local volunteers.
Thanks to a growing number of volunteers and sponsors, the Romanian Child Aid Foundation in the Netherlands can continue its work for this vulnerable group of children. Karin Mentink, the person who created and initiated the Romanian Child Aid Foundation, talked enthusiastically about Foundation initiatives, such as the annual holiday in the Netherlands for children from Sovata and the despatch of Christmas parcels to Romania.
If you would also like to support the Romanian orphans, become a sponsor of the Romanian Child Aid Foundation in the Netherlands. You can become a sponsor for as little as 3 euros a month and upwards! You become a donor by printing out the donor form, completing it and sending it in.
